We now have continuing coverage of the Global Human Rights Torch Relay. It made its first stop in the United States yesterday afternoon. Our reporter Steve Lancione brings us to Boston, Massachusetts.

"Starting with a marathon runner from Hopkinton, Massachusetts doing the famous Boston Marathon."

 

This is the first stop for the Human Rights Torch Relay in the United States. The goal… to raise awareness about human rights abuses in mainland China.

 

[Paul Guzzi, Franklin, Massachusetts]:

"For something like this this is just worldwide scale… level. It was an easy decision to do to."

 

Some were high school athletes, somewhere local runners, and others just wanted a chance to be part of this unique event.

 

After running more than 27 miles, Paul Guzzi crossed the finish line, joined by nine year-old Bobby Mercier of Boston.

 

About a thousand peo
