The London West End plays host to the world's best theater productions. This week, New York based Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company presents 5000 years of divinely inspired Chinese culture to the London Coliseum.

Amongst the audience of Shen Yun 2012 London premier was dance professional Honey Kalaria, often referred to as UK's Ambassador to Bollywood.

[Honey Kalaria, UK's Ambassador to Bollywood]:
“The costumes were absolutely beautiful! Beautiful! We work with a lot of fashion designers to create costumes for films and stage shows. So the way the color coordination were used...the way the stylization was...the way they utilized different costumes designs for different dance performances to enhance the actual choreography… Every aspect has been looked into, bringing together a fantastic show.”

The amount of work that goes into producing such a show was not lost on the Bollywood expert.

[Honey Kalaria, UK's Ambassador to Bollywood]:
“There must’ve been a lot of work that went behind this. I know it’s not easy to create such a show, and to add to the whole stage performance, there was also the visual images, the visual, the multimedia aspect of the show, I think that also added a different dimension to the show."

Part of Honey Kalaria’s work as an ambassador is to create better relationship between different cultures.

[Honey Kalaria, UK's Ambassador to Bollywood]:
“The audience was very multicultural and I think that shows something different. It shows people of all different cultures are interested in finding out more about Chinese culture. And I think that’s also a very good thing to see.”

And for her learning about Chinese culture was the best part of the show.

[Honey Kalaria, UK's Ambassador to Bollywood]:
“It was educational, entertaining, informative and at the same time, I would say, very enjoyable. (...) And the way the culture has been brought through it does justice. So I think it’s done an amazing job. So bringing Chinese culture here as well, I’m glad to be part of it.”

Shen Yun will be performing daily at The London Coliseum until Sunday April 15th.
