Shen Yun Arrives in Canberra
Many politicians have the chance to see Shen Yun in Canberra tonight and many of them come every year.
Mr. Shane Rattenbury a Leglistative Assembly (MLA) says that this is his first time to see the show.
[Shane Rattenbury, Member Leglistative Assembly]:
“I got a message of the real depth of Chinese culture. The performances were very impressive - the training, the athleticism, the beautiful costumes, it really was a real exposition of Chinese culture.”
He says he was impressed by the Falun Gong persecution performance.
[Shane Rattenbury, Member Leglistative Assembly]:
“Clearly there was a message there about the persecution of Falun Dafa, it's a message that I have been made aware of before, and I think that this is an ongoing and complex issue for the people of China."
Alistair Coe MLA has now seen Shen Yun 4 times, and says it's absolutely superb.
[Alistair Coe, Member Leglistative Assembly]:
“I think its very special to come to a show like this and to be able to see in such an entertaining fashion 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture and traditional Chinese values … I really would encourage all Australians and indeed everyone throughout the world to come and see the show if it's possible to do so.”
The last Canberra performance is on April 18, it then goes to Sydney.
