Shen Yun Performing Arts Opens at The Capitol Theatre in Sydney
The beauty of the Sydney landscape was the perfect frame for the arrival of Shen Yun Performing Arts, who are on a world tour with sell-out shows in most cities. Here are some comments from our Sydney theatregoers.
[Kate Wilkie, Technical Supervisor, Sydney College of the Arts]:
“It’s very exciting and what’s terrific is the use of multi-media where the figures are two-dimensional, they’re fantastic and then they materialise into 3D on the stage and that’s just a wonderful use of space and its a great concept.”
[Pamela Wilson, Audience Member]:
“I could feel little tears coming out of my eyes. I’ve never seen anything quite so, it’s beautiful and there’s a purity and a wholesomeness about it I didn’t really expect. So I really can’t put it into words anymore than that, but it has deeply touched me, deeply.”
[Tanmay, Audience Member]:
“It's really fantastic its full of positive energy I would say. I can feel it after the show a lot of beautiful colors, all natural beauty, very enthusiasm among the youngsters. It’s a very clear message to us the young generation, how to appreciate culture and live in harmony.”
Shen Yun will be performing eleven shows in Sydney, finishing on Sunday May 6th.
