A group of migrant construction workers in Zhegzhou, Henan Province, China, are angry about unpaid wages.
The Zhengzhou Evening News reported that sometime after 2:00 p.m. on January 25, a group of eight migrant construction workers who had been working for Haitian Group LTC surrounded their boss’ BMW and refused to let him leave without paying them their wages.
The man whose car was surrounded, Fang Rushen, apparently called for another car and forced his way past the irate employees.
The workers say they have not been paid at all for a steel framing project lasting for months that they recently completed for Haitian Group LTC.
According to the general contractors who hired the migrant workers for the job, Mr. Fang still owes them 700,000 yuan, which he is refusing to pay.
The workers are refusing to return home empty handed.
