The reverential royal-sanctioned wedding china to commemorate the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Posh plates that got Dave Bell, Managing Director of design agency KK Outlet, thinking.

[Dave Bell, Managing Director of KK Outlet]:
"We felt that sometimes Buckingham Palace is a bit straight-laced. They don't have much humour in their announcements or how they treat themselves. They are very reverential so we wanted to treat the royal wedding with a bit of irreverence."

And their irreverent designs are so sought after that the company's website crashed the day the impertinent plates went on sale.

[Dave Bell, Managing Director of KK Outlet]:
"We never set out to cash in on the royal wedding, we set out to make better designs on the existing memorabilia out there, so in a way we've achieved what we wanted to achieve, the rest is a bonus for us."

There are five platters available for sale and several more the agency designed just for fun.

Some plates feature trendy themes like Facebook and Middleton's wedding wish list.

And one of the most popular amongst Brits is the "Thanks for The Extra Day Off" plate, referring to the wedding day being declared a national public holiday.

There is global interest in the 32 U.S. dollar plates, with a surge in sales in Canada, the U.S., Germany and Japan.

And the next design KK Outlets wants to serve up is for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next year, marking her 60 years on the throne.
