Wildfires Rage in Greece
Wildfires continued to rage in north-eastern Greece on Friday as powerful winds spread the flames close to the Turkish border.
Officials have called a state of emergency in the prefect of Evos as thousands of acres of forest burned, threatening two villages.
On Friday, the Greek government asked for help from their European Union partners.
Both France and Spain sent firefighting planes and pilots to assist in the operations.
Greece is plagued by scores of forest fires every summer due to high temperatures and strong winds.
No injuries have been reported so far.
