King of Spain Falls Over Step
King Juan Carlos of Spain took a tumble while meeting with military officials in Madrid on Thursday.
After reviewing the troops at the Spanish defense headquarters, the monarch tripped over a step, falling on his face. Nearby people rushed to his aid, and he continued on with his day, sporting a bruised nose, though otherwise appearing to be okay.
The King underwent hip replacement surgery after falling while on a hunting trip in Africa in April.
King Carlos was due to meet with Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti later in the afternoon.
