It's a glamour race, the mens Olympic 4 x 100 meters and the stage is set.

It's a tight race early with the U.S. team of Trell Kimmons, Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay and Ryan Bailey just in front after two baton changes.

Then Jamaica's Yohan Blake surges past Tyson Gay on the bend and Ryan Bailey can only watch as Bolt takes the baton and scorches away to victory.

The Jamacian runners Nesta Carter, Michael Frater, Yohan Blake and Bolt set a new world record of 36.84 seconds in winning.

The U.S. team equalled the old world record of 37.04 seconds to get the silver medal.

Bolt came onto the track all rugged up, flexed his muscles and performed his trademark archer routine, the signs of a man at the top of his game.

He was a little subdued after winning however, saluting the crowd and then being engulfed by supporters.

It's a who's who of champions on the winners podium, but Usain Bolt is clearly the star.
