Gaddafi Forces Lay Siege to Ajdabiyah
Smoke billows along the road to Ajdabiyah as Gaddafi's forces fire rockets at Libyan rebels.
The town has been the main front line of the fighting as rebels try to advance westward to the oil port of Brega.
One witness reported seeing a dozen rockets land near the town.
In Misrata - the rebels' only stronghold in the west - amateur footage shows extensive damage after weeks of air attacks.
The government has denied accusations by rights groups that it used cluster bombs on the city.
Food and medical supplies are badly needed in the city that has been under siege for seven weeks.
The Red Cross is now assessing the situation after the government invited it to set up an office in Tripoli.
