Prayers and tributes to 14-year-old activist Malala Yousafzai, who was shot by Taliban militants, as she recovers in the hospital.

On Friday, Pakistani Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf visited her in the hospital and spoke of her courage.

[Raja Pervez Ashraf, Pakistani Prime Minister]:
"The extremists attacked Malala for what she stands for because they were scared of the power of her vision. She had a simple message—the right for girls to be educated. Malala is a true Pakistani and is the real face of Pakistan. We will not allow any one to destroy the face of Pakistan."

On Tuesday, the two men stopped the bus she was riding home in and fired at her, also hitting two other girls.

She is still unconscious in hospital, with doctors saying the coming hours will be critical for determining the state of her recovery.
