As the controversy surrounding President Obama continues in response to the misconduct of his Secret Service agents during their trip to Columbia, across the seas the British paparazzi “princess,” is entrapped within her own world of controversy.

Pippa Middleton, sister of Kate Middleton—the Duchess of Cambridge and wife of Prince William—was partying with aristocrat and fashion leader Arthur de Soultrait for his 30th birthday in Paris, as reported by The Sun on Friday night.

Pippa's wild Paris partying included risqué 18th century French fashion with dwarves thrown into the mix.

However risqué Pippa's partying was, it did not come close to what happened later when the driver of an Audi convertible in which Middleton, de Soultrait, and his brother were riding, pulled out a toy pistol and pointed it at the paparazzi.

While Aymeric de Drouas, a spokesman for  Arthur de Soultrait's clothing company, told The Associated Press the gun in a photo published by British newspaper The Sun was a toy, these details were not apparent at the time, causing a stir in the press.

Overall, the timing could not be worse, as there have been a number of handgun murders, including the racially-charged Toulouse Massacre. The deaths of a rabbi and three children garnered international attention.

French authorities told the New York Times no further investigation will be needed.
