Americans are getting some breathing room when it comes to filling up at the pump.

For the first time since last year, the average price of a gallon of gasoline is lower than the two weeks before.

Prices dropped more than 5 cents, and are likely to drop another 5 to 10 cents, in coming weeks according to the nationwide Lundberg Survey.

But while the cost to fill up is a little less lately, drivers are still paying more than they were the same time last year.

Gasoline prices are tracking a slide in crude oil, which hit a peak above $108 in Mid-march and is currently trading around $102 a barrel.
