Manhattan's $100 Million Penthouse
A penthouse on West 56th Street in Midtown Manhattan has been listed at $100 million.
If sold at this price, it would set the record for New York City.
The 8,000-square-foot octagon apartment at CitySpire is being sold by six agents, including Robert De Niro’s son, Rafael.
The 73rd-floor-entry apartment has a wraparound terrace and 135 windows, offering an unprecedented 360-degree residential view of the city.
Along with six bedrooms and nine bathrooms, the penthouse also includes a 1000-bottle wine room, conference room, gallery, and an elevator for the apartment’s three floors.
Designed by Juan Pablo Molyneaux, the apartment was purchased in 1993 for $4.5 million by Long Island real estate mogul Steven Klar.
He has spent at least the same amount again renovating it.
A six bedroom penthouse at nearby One57, currently under construction, is being sold for $90 million.
