Shen Yun Perfroming Arts played their last show at Daegu's Suseong Artpia Theater on Tuesday evening, February 28.

The New York based company treated the audience to a glimpse of 5,000 years of traditional Chinese culture, portrayed through classical Chinese dance and music.

Mr. Jiang Wangao is the conductor of the Geyongnam Symphony Orchestra. He was highly impressed with the Shen Yun Orchestra, which boasts a unique combination of traditional Chinese and Western instruments.

[Kang Manho, Conductor, Geyongnam Symphony Orchestra]:
“If you want me to put my feelings into one sentence, I’d say that this show is just amazing. It is a very pure performance, and I was immersed in its compassion and beauty. It really was a stunning experience for me. There was a seamless combination of music and dance in today’s show...The Western and traditional Chinese instruments complemented each other so perfectly that it was hard for me to distinguish between the traditional Chinese instruments and the western musical instruments.”

[Kim Soonyoung, Conductor and Director of Buddhist Music Choir]:
“After seeing the show, I felt that I was touched again and was completely absorbed with the wonder of this performance. I was inspired, I was purified, and my heart was deeply touched. I felt like I was in a totally peaceful, harmonious and joyful world. It was like being in a rainbow - it felt like a dream and I felt like I was being reborn.”

Mr. Wangao and Ms. Chunyin both expressed a deep sense of appreciation to the Shen Yun performers.

[Kang Manho, Conductor, Geyongnam Symphony Orchestra]:
“I want to express my thanks not only to the performers, but also to all the cast and crew. Thank you for all your hard work."

[Kim Soonyoung, Conductor and Director of Buddhist Music Choir]:
“I am very grateful for the performances Shen Yun did in Daegu. If Shen Yun comes back to Korea again next year, I will invite more people to watch the performance. I hope more and more Daegu people come to see Shen Yun’s show.”

Shen Yun will continue its tour in Daejeon and Annyang until March 4.
