Shen Yun was "Incredible": Art Teacher

“I was really impressed! I thought it was absolutely beautiful!”

 

Her daughter Hallie is studying Mandarin.

"I think today was very interesting. This performance demonstrates China's culture." 

 

Hallie says Shen Yun’s performance highlighted the spiritual aspect of traditional Chinese culture. 

 

[Hallie, Chinese Language Student] 

“Well I think that seeing people kind of... When they were trying to practice something that they believed in and they were persecuted, I think that it showed everyone what is happening in China. And, I think that when the spiritual aspect helped, I think that was really wonderful. It was great!” 

 

Shen Yun Performing Arts incorporates animated backdrops in its performance to tell stories from China’s past and present. Miriam said the dynamic interaction between the performers and the backdrop was incredible.

“I was blown away, I really was. I really, really thought it was incredible with the backdrop how the people came right out of the screen. It was wonderful, the timing, the choreography was just incredible. I thought from a visual standpoint that was outstanding.”

 

She says Shen Yun has given her artistic inspiration.

“Absolutely! Absolutely! In fact, I'm thinking of great creative visual ideas to do in class based on this.”
