Drama Teacher Finds Shen Yun Really Moving

Jane Simmons, a drama teacher attended the Shen Yun matinee performance at the Capitol Theatre in Sydney, Australia on April 29.

 “The show’s really lovely, I loved the chorus work and the synchronicity of the dancers and the fluidity of movement is beautiful. The ability to integrate the animation and graphics in with the gorgeous music and movement is really lovely to watch.”

Shen Yun uses myths and legends to revive ancient Chinese principles such as honesty, benevolence, justice and wisdom.

“I think I like when there’s more narrative, so actually where they’re telling a story about the persecution and you’re seeing those relationships build, actually that’s what I find really moving.”

Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company will be in Sydney until May 6.
