On July 7th and 8th, Shen Yun Performing Arts played at the Civic Opera House in Chicago. The audiences were inspired.
[William Jamison, Administrator for State of Illinois]:
“Well I thought the actress and the dance was very athletic. I was amazed at how light they were on their feet. I was also amazed at how concise it was and how much of the history it covered about the Chinese religion.”
Shen Yun’s portrayal of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China particularly moved the audience.
[William Jamison, Administrator for State of Illinois]:
“The Dafa religion? I’ve seen some of the protestors downtown before. It (the show) gave me a little more insight about that and what’s happening in China.”
[Paul Binder, Insurance Worker and Voice-Over Artist]:
“I especially liked the part, the Falun Dafa part, it was very touching and very moving, and it brought a tear to my eye. I learned that the Chinese government is not really in favor of that, and that’s like, Oh my God, that’s terrible. Freedom of expression, I think you should be able to practice that in your own home. So to see them being persecuted for it, that is what touched me.”
Transportation Manager, Mike Dick says all his friends should see Shen Yun.
[Mike Dick, Transportation Management]:
“They should come out to see the play, because I think they would enjoy it. I enjoyed it very much, it was a good program.”
